Placar Série A Overview
Placar Série A is a lifestyle application designed for iPhone users. It offers a comprehensive overview of the Brazilian soccer league, where 20 teams compete in a round-robin format over 38 matches. The team with the highest points at the end of the season wins the Brazilian title, while the bottom four teams face relegation to Série B.
In case of tied points, the following tie-breakers are used: more victories, better goal difference, more goals scored, head-to-head results, fewer red cards, fewer yellow cards, and finally, a draw. Additionally, the top four teams qualify for the group stage of the 2020 Libertadores, with the fifth and sixth-placed teams entering the preliminary rounds. If any of the Libertadores, Copa do Brasil, or Sul-Americana champions are in the top six, the subsequent team secures a spot in the continental competition.
